The primary trailer of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari’ is at last out. Coordinated by Anurag Singh, the period show depends on the story of the Battle of Saragarhi, in which a multitude of 21 Sikhs battled against 10,000 Afghans in 1897.

The fight was battled before the Tirah Campaign on 12 September 1897 between Sikh warriors of the British Indian Army and Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen. It happened in the North-West Frontier Province (presently Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan).
Akshay plays the turban-clad Havildar Ishar Singh who directs the little gathering of officers to battle a war with their small weapons as well as their valor. The trailer is great with rural war scenes, an inconspicuous system of sword battling and snappy exchanges as the Sikh troopers wearing saffron turbans proceed to confront the foe in the war zone.
Every one of the 21 Sikh fighters who kicked the bucket in the Battle of Saragarhi were after death granted(posthumously awarded) the Indian Order of Merit, the then most astounding heroism grant for an Indian trooper(soldier).
Kesari is co-produced by Akshay Kumar (through Cape Of Good Hope) and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is directed by Anurag Singh, who has previously made several Punjabi films. The trailer also shares a glimpse of the female lead Parineeti Chopra, and it also stars Siddhant Sharma, Ashwath Bhatt, Pawan Malhotra and Rana Ranbir.
